Our weekend
We had an amazing and activity filled weekend! Our first activity was the St Patrick's day parade. Last year we went to 2 parades in our small town and loved it, or should I say the girls loved it! Lets just say Denver is different as in LOTS of people. We are blessed to live very close to the parade route so we can see it from our living room but what good is a parade if your not close. (Or so we thought!) We found a spot that seemed suitable to watch while other spectators kept coming and coming. By the time the parade started people were standing in front of us which was frustrating but we were going to make due! Jim was holding O and I was holding A. Apparently Olivia wasnt happy and Jim said he couldnt hold her anymore so we had to go home. That is so much easier said than done as now the crowd was super expanded. We were little trapped in our perfect spot, with our double stroller that wasnt going to stroll anywhere. We collapsed the stroller and Jim carried that while I carried both girls. SLowly but surely we made it out of the mob! We went back to our living room and had a grand ol time with our binoculars!
Our next activity was the absolute best of the weekend. We drove to Colorado Springs and spent the night with my Aunt and Uncle. They live in this amazing house in the country. When we first got there we were greeted by a big deer with awesome antlers. Later in the afternoon my cousins and their children came and played.
I absolutely enjoyed talking to people my age that I love and know where they are coming from in life, that is to say that they love the Lord so much! The girls loved playing with all the cousins! Jim spent alot of time outside with the guys! We had an amazing dinner that my Aunt made and it was an incredibly great time of fellowship!
We spent the night and went to church at my cousins church. Scott preached and it was the first time Ive ever heard him speak. It was an incredible experience as Ive grown up with Scott and remember him as a young boy and now hes a dad and preacher!
I told my family that they would surely end on my blog and made sure none of them are in the witness protection program. Unfortunatley I took NO pictures! BOO! But thank you Uncle Ken, Aunt Carol, Scott, Kim, Michael, Cailey, Casey, Brooklyn, Wesley, Summitt, Mark, Laurel, Gabe, and little Wes! We had a great time!
