Christmas Vacation Part 1
We enjoyed a quiet Christmas at home which was different and very nice. It was good to give the girls presents and not have to say "Now let's go!" It is also different because we have no family in town.
To remedy the last problem we met up with my Mom's side of the family. She has 6 sisters and many cousins. I am the oldest cousin at 30 something and the newest cousin was just born before Christmas. All together there are about 60 + in the family. 50 or more joined us in Branson for the week after Christmas. It was an amazing time.
Over the next several days I am going to post a few pics from each event.
A few things overheard during Christmas:
We drove to our lodging and as we got closer I said "I'm going to call Papa and tell him we are here." Olivia said"Oh no we are lost!" I had to convince her for the next few miles that I did indeed know where we were going!
One day we reenacted the Christmas nativity with the younger children. My girls were assigned to be angels. Ava announced that she did not want to be an angel. "I want to be baby Jesus!" That dream did not come true as the newest baby in our family took on that role!
