Randomness
I go about my day thinking, that will make a great blog. In fact I have several "good" things in my head. I think I just opened myself up for several jokes! Anyway!
Yesterday was an interesting day. At my MOPS group the topic was miscarriage and infant loss. Wow, what a topic for this week, as this is Dylans week. I thought the lady was good but I think I held my breath during the entire time just so I wouldnt cry. Of course she got with the last thing. She told a story of a lady who had a miscarriage 40 years ago. The lady truly felt like her baby was a girl so she named her Julie Kay. Years later the lady had a granddaughter named Julie Kay. The little girl asked her grandmother why she was named that. Grandmother said well I had a baby who wasnt quite ready for this earth so she went back to heaven. The little girl said and here I am now all ready now. Im not sure there was a dry eye in the house. I never thought about that the girls may some day have a son and name him after their brother. Wow!
Before the lady began speaking I shared pictures of Dylan and his grave site with my table mates. I so enjoy talking about him. I also talked to a girl in our group who had a stillborn at 18 weeks. It is amazing all the things women go through. I am thankful to live in a day and age where its ok to talk about it with others.
Now for the lighter side of life. Last night was book group with my meetup group. What a great time to get out and laugh and eat with friends. These are such good times.
Prior to going out, Olivia was crying saying "My legs are broken." They clearly were not broken but she had worn her rain boots all day long, with short socks. I am sure this didnt feel good but what are you going to do. I gave her tylenol and a vitamin. Playing games with her daddy was also a great thing! This morning she told me that her legs were not broken anymore. Good to know!
