Ava's birthday party!

Last night we celebrated Ava's birthday. It was just a small gathering: my parents, in-laws and Jim and the girls. I really wasnt planning on having the party so early but since Jim is leaving today for California it had to be done and here is the reason. Jim wasnt there when she was born. Everyone tried to call him and finally the police went to our house and woke him up. I hated being alone in the OR, it was very scary! So I didnt want him to miss her 1st birthday too!

The party was fun! I got another cupcake cake that had a valentines theme. Olivia saw the cupcakes earlier in the day and was a holy terror until she finally got her "cake". If I had to do it over again I would have given her a stupid cupcake and called it a deal! It was one of those days where I couldnt wait until she went to bed!

Ava enjoyed the cake. She tore it all up and put a little icing in her mouth, so cute! I will post pics soon I promise!

Jim is leaving at 330 today for California. I am still not sure when we will join him but I should have a better idea later on this week as Olivia gets her splints! Jim is so excited! He went and bought all kinds of traveling office things and then sat in the floor putting everything together. He was like a little boy before the first day of school with his school supplies! He has an enormous amount of luggage. I sure hope he can take it all!
