Holes

This last week we got a new dishwasher. While the nice plumber was here he pointed out the fact that we have a pet mouse who was residing in the dishwasher insulation. Good times. While this freaked me out the plumber insisted it was just a mouse. Right!

He showed me how the little offender was getting in around the insulation of the dishwasher. (The little rat had stolen a birthday candle so perhaps he was a real party animal.) The plumber suggested I stuff the holes with steel wool. A treatment that I know works as my parents have tried it in the past.

Yesterday the girls and I went to Lowe's to get all kinds of different fix-it-up items including the steel wool. (As a side note, I always feel close to my Dad at Lowe's. It is always a necessary destination when he visits!)

We got home and promptly filled the holes with the steel wool. Moving on to other projects, I began trying to finish the wallpaper removal in my bedroom. Can I just say that Ava is such a great helper! She stayed with me for hours helping and chatting! Love her!

In my bedroom there are different holes in the wall left over from the previous owner. Ava said "Look Mama there is a hole! I'll be right back!" When she came back she was holding the steel wool. I just love how her mind works!

More importantly: we are all born with a God sized hole in our heart. The only thing that fits is Jesus!
