Pedicures and ice cream cones

I have a couple of blog ideas that I actually made a voice comment on my phone yesterday while I was out. I just hate it when you forget what you want to post.

On to the days subject. Friday night my MOPS group had a Moms Night Out at a nail place. Because the Summer sandal season is coming up, I so needed to tame my tootsies. I also had Boo group the night before and Jim was out of town. I got a babysitter Thursday but couldn't find one for Friday night. Oh dear, what is a girl to do? I was in desperate need! I decided I would just take the girls with me!

Thankfully the girls were incredibly behaved. Olivia sat and watched a movie on my ipod. Ava flitted around everywhere. It began to storm and the door was open, so Ava kept dashing outside to give us a weather report. (A girl after my own heart!) During all this, I was in the massage chair having my feet attended to, pure luxury!

When we came home I let the girls have their first ice cream cones. It was quite the lesson and no I don't have pictures of it! Eating the ice cream is the easy part but the cone is another story! Olivia kind of got the idea but Ava wanted nothing to do with it. This is where being a parent is a benefit because of course I had to show them how to do it or make sure their cone wasn't dripping. The next night we had ice cream cones Ava wanted a spoon. Silly girl!
