Tuesday the 26th

Let's see today we went to visit my friend Laurel and her daughter Noel. I met them when Olivia was in the NICU. Noel has severe Downs syndrome with complications that have basically kept her in the hospital her entire life. There has been a promise that she will come home and many dates set and past for various reason. Her latest date is July 16 (my dad's birthday). It was good to see them and the girls enjoyed the play area in this children's rehabilitation hospital. Noel seems to be a happy girl as she smiles and laughs but other than her crying that is all her communication. Laurel and I have developed a great friendship over the years.

Yesterday the girls found the best play toy ever in our house: a box. ITs a box big enough for them to both get in. They played tent, monster and princess castle. Tonight I just saw Ava sliding down the outside of the box head first. They are definitely creative to say the least.

The dinner plans seem to be going well but I wasnt crazy about the swiss chicken. Tonight I made beef enchiladas even though that was set for another day.

I hear the girls dancing/playing with Jim in the other room. Jim just yelled out "No Ava!"

The girls woke up close to 8 this morning. I woke up at 730 with a start because I realized how late it was and I hadnt heard the girls. I decided to take the trash to the curb quickly and after that was finished they made their way down the stairs. Now I just have to figure out what I did to get them to sleep late! And then being the awesome Mom that I am, I made pancakces! Go Mommy!

After going to visit our friends we went to McDonalds and got happy meals, which made No One happy! I think I basically paid for 2 toys that while they were cute came in 3 pieces that constantly come apart. Who makes these toys and do they make them to terrorize parents! The insanity. Those toys are safely hidden and if you mention them outloud with the girls around I might hurt you!

Oh yeah, Have a nice day!

  1. Tip: You have to ask for the toys for 3 and under until they are 5 years old!!! They are actually really nice Fisher Price toys.
