10th Anniversary and More

Today Jim and I celebrate our 10 years of marriage. It incredibly amazing how far weve come, how many times weve moved, how many victories and tragedies weve come through and through it all weve trusted Jesus and continue loving each other.

Ten years ago I was a naive 24 yr old with the twinkle of hope and future in my eye. We pledged our love to each other and traveled through the bubbles to celebrate with our friends and family. If I could tell that young newlywed girl somethings it would go something like this.

Even though your mom told you the 1st year of marriage is hard just keep holding on because there are other hard years too. Years where you wonder if this whole marriage thing is worth it but please stay true to you, Jim and most importantly the Lord for He will never leave or forsake you.

Yes there will be children even though you think that it will never happen. Unfortunately the path to having a home full of babies takes a different turn then others. Continute to hold on to Jesus. Remember the "Sorrow may last for the night but JOY comes in the morning!"

And now to quote a great blogger BooMama who is referring to her 10th anniversary. Her words are so well written!

“The next ten years will make you laugh and cry and smile and hurt and laugh some more. The next ten years will stretch your faith and build your character and multiply your joy. There will be days when you love your husband with the force of all nature, and there will be days when you wonder what the two of you ever saw in each other.

And on every single one of those days - good, bad, or somewhere in between - God will be working in ways you can’t even imagine. And ten years from today, you will look back on your life together, and you will be beyond grateful for God’s faithfulness through the mountaintops and the valleys. You will be so glad that you’ve walked through all of it together."

Happy Anniversary Jim! I love you!
