Road Trip
Our family hit the open road on Tuesday to journey to the town of Clinton, OK which is in western part of the state. It was a 3 1/2 hour trip and we went there for a job interview for Jim. We stayed in a nice hotel that served breakfast in the morning. Definitely did my research this time and got reservations before we went there.
Anyway, we got 2 queen sized beds and the plan was for Olivia to sleep with me, Ava in the crib, and Jim in his own bed. He needed the sleep to be prepared the next morning for the interview. Well Im not sure if it was the fact we shared a hot fudge sundae or the excitement of the hotel but the girls were not going to sleep that night. And Ava wasnt going to slip in the hotel provided crib. So both girls slept with me and slept is really not the word I am looking for. More like played, laughed, cried and squirmed but finally by 11pm they were asleep. Imagine if you will 2 tiny girls that both can sleep with their feet in my back!
We all woke around 6am which was good because Jim went downstairs to get breakfast. We ate breakfast and played a little. Then Jim, Olivia and I went back to sleep while Ava looked at everything the hotel had from the Bible to the pamphlets in the room. Good thing is she didnt damage anything and it was a fairly safe environment to be unsupervised.
The interview went well, but Im not sure its the one for Jim. Im not sure Im ready to live in a town that small.
On the way there and back we went through Weatherford, OK where
there are many, many windmills. Olivia loved them and talked about them for the whole trip. She said they go round and round the towers. When we couldnt see them anymore she asked constantly Where did the windmills go? They are behind us.

We made it home safely and we had a great time!
