Some Olivia stories!
We have really been blessed with the girls being great sleepers since they were born. The toddler/preschool years changed that and now we do what we can.
Ava is still a great sleeper: early to bed and early to rise. It takes Olivia an incredible amount of time to finally settle down. I really think she could stay up all night and sleep all day.
Lately we have been putting them to sleep in our bed and then taking them to the guest room where they sleep together. They are so not interested in sleeping in their rooms. A problem to be dealt with soon I think.
When Olivia woke up this morning she said "I couldn't believe it. I woke up in Mimi's room!" (the guest room) I asked her how she thinks she got there. She answered "The good dreams brought me here." Her thoughts and answers always crack me up.
Another Olivia story: She has a hard time playing with the Wii w/o getting upset when she is unable to do it right. I have been teaching her that having fun is more important than winning or losing.
Jim tried out the Wii Fit for the first time the other night. He was doing terrible which delighted me because he is always so good at things. For a change I had all the high scores. He he he!
Olivia was sitting next to me while we watched Jim. She said "I've got to tell Daddy the truth." She jumps up and hugs him and says "Daddy sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but if you had fun then you are a winner." Needless to say it was a very sweet moment.
Maybe just maybe the things I say are starting to make a difference to her!
She's too cute!! I like her comment about the good dreams carrying her. Makes perfect sense to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet world you live in! I love it that they wake up in my room!
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Mimi/MOM
Love the Olivia stories, I do, I do. Love the new look, too. Really pretty. You are getting good at this design stuff. Note; look at the girls shoes in the black and white dresses and black shoes. You will see another pair of shoes underneath them. I think you have a picture behind the picture that needs to be removed.
ReplyDeleteVery cute stories, and very fun new look!!
