My purpose
I dropped these lovely little ladies off at preschool today. When I got back into my car sans children, I felt as if I had just dropped off my purpose in life. What would I do?
Fortunately I had breakfast plans with a dear friend. It was a great time talking and eating. I only had to figure out what I wanted. I actually had time to read the menu! And yes Mom, I totally enjoyed one last cup of coffee.
After breakfast I headed home and stopped by my dear old friend Target. It was some awesome retail therapy! I found some cute bathing suits for the girls for just over a $1! Awesome!
I went home and enjoyed the solace and quiet of my home. It wasn't long till it was time to pick up my little friends. They were excited to see me and didn't start whining until we were almost in the car.
I realized that I can be a better Mommy when I take time for myself.
Awesome. "Me" time is important. Glad to see you getting some. It is so hard to do when there are two of them.
ReplyDeleteI miss you and look forward to seeing you on Friday. Let's get together soon.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your first day to yourself! It's kind of nice, right -- but goes by very quickly!
ReplyDeleteSavor every minute--the last cup of coffee, the me times and the we times! Your day reminds me of taking you and your sister to Park School.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
