Yesterday was crazy!
It all started when Olivia got up in the middle of the night at midnight, 3 and 5:30. Not sure why she did that but she came all the way downstairs to my bedside to say "Mommy I can't sleep." I took her back upstairs, put her back in bed and turned the music on. I thought that her not taking a nap would end the no sleeping at night but apparently not. She woke up again at 7:15 and seemed a little more clingy but again I'm not sure why. (In the morning I felt like I had a newborn with all the interrupted sleep. Not fun at all!)
Yesterday was also the day that the cleaning team comes to my house. They hadn't been there in a month due to Christmas so the house was a little more cluttered. I was racing around cleaning so that the team could come in.
I got the girls dressed and ready for school and Olivia started becoming super whiny. When we got to school she didn't want go up the stairs, she didn't want to go in the classroom. She just wanted to stay with me. At one point I had her talked into going into class and at the same time I noticed that Ava was getting into the paints in the classroom. I diverted my attention to Ava and Olivia was gone again. She was standing at the end of the hallway, back turned, arms crossed. Finally I carried her into class and she still didn't want to stay. Mrs. Young took her and we were off. I was totally shocked that Miss social butterfly, who loves preschool way more than home, didn't want me to leave. I am not sure what that was all about.
Of course the extra time at preschool was cutting into my hour of power tornado cleaning that had to happen in the next hour. When we got home Ava decided she didn't want to watch TV but instead wanted to be right under my feet. Now because I have 2 kids so close in age, I don't begin to understand how mothers of just one child do anything. My girls love each other and play together so well and I am so lucky.
Finally we were out of the house and on to our next destination. Just as we left, the cleaning team showed up. (Good timing!) I also failed to mention that in my frenzy to get Olivia to preschool, I noticed that my tire was super low but I had to make it back and forth to preschool. I did finally get it aired up after the frenzy.
Olivia had a fairly good time at preschool, although the parent helper told me that Olivia missed me. Olivia also asked me when I was going to be the parent helper over and over. Unfortunately for her it is not until maybe February.
Last night Olivia only woke up twice, at 2 and 5:30. At one point I realized she was next to me in bed. Oh my!
