A thankful post

We had a lovely Thanksgiving celebration and somehow didnt have to go around the table to say what we are thankful. I know that for this year the holiday is lost on my girls.

We are staying with Jim's sister and her family which includes Emma and Julia. They are the girls favorite and only cousins on this side of the family for now! This is the first year that my girls have been excited to play every minute with them.

Our dinner was made up of dressing, mash potatoes made by yours truly, turkey, homemade rolls, homemade cranberry sauce and some chipotle sweet potatoes. Seriously I am not a fan of sweet potatoes but these were to die for! My mil made them and if you didnt get get it before they were awesome!

We joined Marie and her family as well as Jim's parents, his other sister and her new boyfriend. We had a great time and then later went over to a family friend's for dessert.

I am thankful for so many things but I would definitely have to say first and foremost that I am thankful for Jesus. I am also thankful for my wonderful family: my sweet girls and husband. There was a Thanksgiving that I thought I would never be able to be thankful for my children but time certainly heals wounds. I am thankful for Dylan who taught me what great love is. I am also so thankful for my parents and my sister and her family. There is rarely a day we dont talk on the phone. I am truly blessed to have 2 extended families. I am thankful for my inlaws so much. It is amazing to have 2 families that I feel so apart of.

Enough with the sappy post! Come back for some pictures soon!

  1. I love your post. I am so thankful for you too and our relationship. It is fun raising our children together even from a distance.
