A couple of stories
The other day when we were in Wa - Mart, Olivia asked me "How do we get out of here?" "Do you have a plan?" Like anything in our day, cute the first time and painful the 1456th time.
I guess I must apologize to fire fighters everywhere. Apparently Miss Ava Girl (as she calls herself), has great respect for them. So much so that she will ask "Well what does the fire fighter say?" Conveniently for me I respond "The fire fighter said go to bed!" or whatever I need her to do. At bed time I have threatened to call the fire fighters if she doesn't go to sleep.
I'm sorry fire fighters but its working for me right now!

OMG...i love the cute the first time comment. my kids do that, too...
ReplyDelete...and you gotta do what you gotta do... i'm so not above saying things like that to get my kids to do my bidding.
...a few weeks ago, i spanked each of them when they were being less than stellar. And let me tell you...i HATE spanking. But now, all I do is start counting backward from five and their little butts run like the devil... that whole what-kept-them-living-is-going-to-kill-me is so rearing its ugly head right now... :)
Whatever works I say. We told my son that the doctor told him he needed to stay in bed. It worked for a while. Now we have to threaten to shut his door.
