The importance of a bandaid!

Growing up our family didnt have the cute bandaids. In spite of that my sister and I grew up fairly normal. The other day Stephanie and I had a lengthy discussion about bandaids.

Fortunately we have been blessed not to need bandaids for major emergencies. In fact bandaids are better described as a fussy toddler antidote. There have been times when Olivia will say I feel sad. Well what would make you feel better? Of course the answer is a bandaid. The peace and joy a simple piece of sticky plastic brings into our house is immeasurable! Its funny though when someone says what did you do to your knee? I say oh nothing but the bandaid made her feel better.

When my girls and Caitlyn were at my parents, Caitlyn legimately needed a bandaid. Olivia got up on my dad's chair and threw herself off into the floor just so she could get a bandaid! Are you serious!!??

The other night I burned my wrist pretty badly. Im not crazy about bandaids but there was no getting around the need for one. Suddenly both of the girls needed one too. The biggest reason being that they wanted one like mine, ELMO! Yes I feel totally stupid with Sesame STreet characters on my wrist but it hurts and it needs protection!

It makes me feel good about myself too! Maybe you should try it when you are having a bad day!

You guys are just too funny. However, I probably need to check to make sure we have some Dora band-aids around. We do have the plain ones - thank God.
