Wonderful Wednesday

Well blogger is going slow this morning so Im going to type this out in Word and then copy and paste.

Even though the title is all about Wednesday, the post is actually about Tuesday night. We went to a block party on our street. The party is in conjunction with National Night Out. It started as a time where neighbors get to know each other so that crime can be avoided etc. Unfortunately it came a little too late for us but it was nice to meet our neighbors.

Olivia and Ava were the youngest there and the only other kids were in 5th and 8th grade. Those boys and the adults completely doted on the girls so it was a super fun night for me. An ambulance came because they were visiting all the Night Out parties and we got to ask them lots of questions. They got stickers etc from the paramedics. A guy from US Cellular came with mini footballs and Frisbees. Our block captains had a very nice party including glow- in-the dark necklaces for the girls and even a piñata. My neighbor took pics which I hope to see at some point.

The funny thing about all this is that the girls watched Clifford Puppy days just before we walked down the street for the party. On the TV show they were having a party in the courtyard with a piñata too. That made the party for the girls even more fun.
