Things are getting brighter

I had a great day yesterday. Jim came to church and over for dinner. He spoke openly with my parents about his addiction and his recovery.

I saw him later at his parents house. He opened doors for me and even warmed up the car. The old Jim stopped things like that a long time ago. He was so fun to be around!

I am so hopeful with reservations of course that this time it will work. He even said to me that he had been emotionally unavailable and that he was sorry for that!
