Just One More Cup

When my sister and I were growing up, we would accompany my parents out to eat. My memory is mostly from breakfast. It seemed like we were at the eating establishment for hours! When we felt like our parents were finished eating and we were finally going to be able to leave the waitress would ask my mom if she wanted more coffee. The dreaded question! Please, please don't ask her that! Of course the answer was "I'll have one more cup!" This answer meant at least another half hour to wait, at least to us!

Years pass and now I'm a mother. My day starts with at least 2 or more cups of coffee. There is nothing like coffee to warm my body and wake my mind. Every good cup of coffee in my house should have a good amount of flavored creamer!

Looking back I see why my mother wanted just one more cup. Even though Stephanie and I were complete angels crazy kids, the coffee gave her a moment of solace and sanity. I guessing on her part but that's what it does for me. It takes me to a happy place so to speak!

Yesterday as I walked past the coffee pot that had already shut off, I noticed there was a still a little bit of coffee in the pot. I thought to myself, maybe I could have just one more cup!

Enjoy your day!
