I have this little hang up. . .
and I wish that was the end of the story. Not once but twice my computers have failed me. Of course there was the break in where our laptops were stolen. That was terrible.
The next bad thing was the death of my computer, yes the next one. The hard drive just overheated and nothing was salvageable.
The bottom line is I've lost pictures and that makes me so sad! Fortunately I have a ton of pictures on my camera that I hadn't downloaded before the untimely death of my computer. Here is my hang up. I want to make sure I save my pictures in a place where I can retrieve them. Backing them up to a sure fire way not to lose them.
That being said I still haven't done it. Perhaps that is why my blog is picture less at this time.
What do you do with your digital pictures and how do you save them FOREVER?
PS (don't get me started about the loss of my itunes!)

Oh my!!! So sorry to hear that! At least you have all of your blogposts up until now...what a blessing for that. We have also been through "computer death" as well and totally feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteI bought an external hard drive (about $75 to $100) and holds about 5000 pictures or so.

We have an external hard drive. So far so good...
ReplyDeleteDVD backups, one of the online services (some are free. That is all I can suggest. I finally backed up my computer this week. First time since I bought it, and I plan to schedule a backup every 3-4 months. Sorry for all those nice pictures that are lost. For me, it would be documents, too. My writings, etc.
